Classic Action Picture

Posted November 26, 2010

A classic action film that will keep its audience glued to the edge of their seats, Unstoppable is a simplistic yet pulse-pounding thriller about an unmanned train that could derail and explode in a highly populated area. Like its title, Unstoppable has unstopping action, with director Tony Scott packing one plot complexion or surprise after another. This suspense-loaded plot climaxes into a grand finale tying together its plot nuances, smashing together bits of real-time TV coverage that only rises the thrill, and combining the jittery anxiety of its fabulous actors, the swooping cinematography, and booming score that defines this film. Unstoppable is one heck-of-a train ride, both literally and metaphorically. 3.5 stars
